Challenge:
In 2006, Heyco’s Toms River facility experienced intermittent network latency which impacted productivity among its 150 employees, especially the design group that works with very large computer-aided-design (CAD) files. At times, the company’s sales and customer service operations were sporadically hampered with network performance issues.
Solution:
Since 2003, CiBan worked with Heyco on a number of IT projects, including a series of network builds. In 2006, addressing Heyco’s network upgrade, CiBan deployed a series of Cisco layer 3 switches, significantly improving the company’s IT infrastructure.
Results:
With the new backbone in place, Heyco now has a reliable network that has performed well, especially as the company experiences an increase in sales and production schedules. All aspects of its operations have realized efficiencies, from sales to manufacturing, ultimately improving sales and reducing costs.
