Overview:

The Neutrik® Group is the leading manufacturer of professional entertainment connector systems. Neutrik® develops, produces and distributes state-of-the-art connectors, and has done so for more than 30 years. The product range includes XLR connectors, plugs, jacks, speaker-connectors, Patch-Panels, power-connectors, BNC style connectors and special connectors for industrial applications.

The Neutrik® Group consists of strategically placed subsidiaries in the United States, Great Britain, Switzerland, France, Japan, China and Germany. A network of exclusive distributors in more than 80 countries worldwide provides worldwide sales, technical support and distribution. The corporate headquarters is located at Schaan in the Principality of Liechtenstein, where all operations such as management, R&D, logistics, manufacturing and finance are centered.

Challenge:

In 2006, the US-based Neutrik subsidiary decided to upgrade their existing telephone system which supports 40 employees in New Jersey. Because of the heavy International phone and fax communications among its European and Asian offices, Neutrik sought to reduce its monthly costs. To leverage a newly upgraded network backbone, the company wanted to deploy a VoIP-based phone system

Solution:

Neutrik worked with CiBan to deploy a series of layer 3 switches Cisco as part of a network backbone upgrade. In doing so, CiBan worked with telecom partner HyTec Telephone to recommend and install an Inter-Tel 5000 VoIP phone system to optimize its new network backbone. The Inter-Tel 5000 system tightly integrates presence management, collaboration and messaging tools—such as unified communications, Web collaboration, call center software, voice processing and unified messaging—enabling Neutrik to build customer loyalty, enhance employee productivity and facilitate the mobility of their staff. The system also links to the company’s headquarters in Liechtenstein, enabling employees to communicate across continents as easy as if they were down the hall.

Results:

With the new VoIP phone system, Neutrik has significantly reduced its telecommunications costs by several thousand dollars per month while giving employees a powerful communications tool to manage their day-to-day operations.
