Intramark USA Selects CiBan to Deploy Sales Order Entry System Based on FaxCore Technology Platform
MARLBORO, NJ (August 25, 2003) – CiBan, a technology solutions provider for small- and medium-sized businesses, today announced that it was selected by Intramark USA, Inc. to streamline the company’s sales order entry system. Leveraging FaxCore technology, a leading fax server solution, CiBan deployed a comprehensive fax automation and document archiving system that enabled the food brokerage company to improve its sales and customer service operations.
Based in Westwood, NJ, Intramark USA is a leading distributor of national brand food products. CiBan developed a complete order entry system for Intramark using the FaxCore 4300 fax server. With the system, Intramark USA’s order process and workflow have been streamlined, improving speed and eliminating data entry errors. Every faxed order is now archived and employees can easily access these documents using FaxCore’s archiving system.
Prior to FaxCore, Intramark USA manually processed all orders received via standard fax machines. This included manually adjusting inventory sheets, calculating costs, and running reports. Hundreds of faxed orders, including documents exceeding 20 pages, would be received each day. Intramark USA would process the faxed orders, update their inventory system, create a purchase order, and then forward it to the respective food manufacturer. The manufacturer would then send back confirmation of the order to Intramark. USA, and this information would be forwarded to the customer – all via fax.
Leveraging the .NET functionality of FaxCore, CiBan developed a custom application that integrates with the document server, providing a central repository that logs and archives all sales documents driven by fax. Information stored in FaxCore can be easily retrieved by a range of criteria, including keyword searches by customer, purchase order, etc. The custom application also manages order entry, inventory, commission statements, and reporting.
