For Immediate Release:

CiBan Teams with FaxCore to Deliver Next-Generation Fax Automation System to the Township of Old Bridge

MARLBORO, NJ (August 11, 2003) – CiBan, a technology solutions provider for small- and medium-sized businesses, today announced that it was selected by the Township of Old Bridge, New Jersey to automate the municipality’s fax communication system. Partnering with FaxCore Corp., a leading developer of fax server solutions, CiBan deployed a comprehensive fax automation and document archiving system based on the FaxCore 4300 technology platform.

Located in Middlesex County, the Township of Old Bridge has a population of approximately 60,000 and continues to grow. Among the township’s 38.3 square miles, approximately one third is developed. The township’s close proximity to New York City is driving significant residential and commercial development, which triggered the need to automate the municipality’s workflow and fax communications processes.

CiBan installed the FaxCore 4300 system, which provides a browser-based solution that manages all inbound and outbound faxes, and integrates a powerful document archiving server. Each fax is now captured and documented as well as electronically stored in FaxCore. Prior to deploying the FaxCore system, the township manually sent and received all faxes. This required employees to print, sign and fax their documents, which would then be stored in file cabinets and later moved to storage. This process was costly and made it extremely difficult to quickly access and faxed documents.

“We encountered many instances where an employee or attorney needed to retrieve a fax, and prior to FaxCore, they could spend countless hours sifting through file cabinets in search of that one vital document,” explained Tom Sommers, MIS Director at the Township of Old Bridge. “FaxCore gives us the convenience of storing all faxed communications electronically with the ability to retrieve such documents in a matter of seconds rather than days. As a result, our employees are more productive and can focus on their jobs rather than wasting time searching the manual archives.”

FaxCore 4300 provides a powerful, web-based solution to centralize, control, and manage all types of fax communications and streamline business processes. Its intuitive, browser-based interface enables users to send and receive faxes with the same convenience of e-mail. Using a browser-based system, organizations can easily deploy and maintain FaxCore, and seamlessly integrate the solution to “fax-enable” other applications. FaxCore is built on .NET technology, which allows organizations to easily integrate and support a range of third-party applications. No client software is needed for installation.

“In addition to streamlining their fax operations and providing a powerful document archiving system, FaxCore is allowing the Township of Old Bridge to be more efficient, which translates into significant cost savings,” explained Paul Banco, CiBan’s Vice President of Sales. “Among the fax server solutions we evaluated, FaxCore offers the most flexible system to deploy and maintain. This is because of the system’s .NET, Web-based architecture.”
